Description

If you love coffee, you will like these oats, and if you looove chocolate, you are in for a treat. Here is a combination of dark roast coffee and dark chocolate all-in-one warm, decadent, nutritious breakfast.

Ingredients

Scale
  •          1/2c sprouted oats (you can use regular oats).
  • 1/2c strong coffee ( leftover from your breakfast or freshly brewed).
  • 1/2c-3/4c organic unsweetened soy mylk (or any plant-based mylk, preferably not oat).
  • 1 tbsp pure cacao powder.
  • 1 tbsp non-dairy/ dark chocolate chips (80%cacao).

Toppings:

  • 1 tsp non-dairy/dark chocolate chips.
  • 1/2 banana in slices.
  • 1 tbsp nut butter of your choice.
  • 1 tbsp seeds and nuts of your choice (hemp, walnuts, pumpkin seeds).

Instructions

  1. Add the oats, coffee and mylk to a small pot.
  2. Bring to a soft boil.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and simmer 8-10 minutes, frequently stirring until soft (oats easily burn or get stuck in the bottom). You can add more mylk if too thick.
  4. Serve in a bowl and add toppings (banana slices, chocolate chips, nuts & seeds, nut butter).
